In Somiedo natural park, we can find ‘teitos’, ancient thatched huts in the high pastures (known as Brañas). These jewels are now European Ethnographic heritage and reflect the age-old human presence in these mountains.

• The “Ecomuseum”, shows the recovery of craftsmen’s trades and how they are being recovered in, order to avoid the disappearance of an ethnic culture, traces of which can still be found in the villages that form the landscape of Somiedo.The museum has two centres, ”Los oficios” – Trades, in Pola de Somiedo, and “La Casa”- Homes, in Veigas.
